Who We Are
Welcome to Mark Short Creative Productions!
Based in Weymouth, Dorset, I am passionate about the creative and performing arts. I aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for adults to explore the joy of dance and movement, have fun, and create a dance inspired community Whether you have dance experience, or a beginner, our classes are designed to help you build confidence, express yourself, and embrace your creativity in a fun & supportive environment. I believe that dance can enhance physical and mental wellbeing whilst building friendships. Join me on this exciting journey of self-discovery through the art of dance.

Meet Mark Short
Mark is a Creative Director, Choreographer, Teacher and performer with over 40 years of experience within the Performing Arts Industry. His career has spanned Television, Theatre, Touring Productions and Corporate Entertainment working with artists including Tina Turner, The Village People , Ant & Dec, Peter Andre , Daniel Bedingfield, The Gladiators and Nightcrawlers. Mark was also proudly a member of the renowned Dougie Squires Second Generation and also appeared as a member of the dance troupe ZOO , appearing on Top Of The Pops.
Mark appeared as the original B1 along with his partner as B2 in the UK Tour of Bananas In Pyjamas . Marks TV credits Include The BIll, Eastenders, Coronation Street, The Royal Variety Performance, Top Of The Pops , M & S Christmas Jumper Commercial , Freddie Flintoff Cricket Launch, and appeared in the pre production of Better Man - The Robbie Williams Bio pic.
Mark has also devised, created and choreographed productions for leading Corporate Clients including Coca Cola , Panasonic, Golden Wonder and Pickwick Records , touring the country with The Blackpool Roadshow and Fun Company , and performed at the MAD SUNDAY Event for the TT Races Hosted by the Isle Of Man Government in front of an audience in excess of 40,000 people. Additionally Mark has undertaken Corporate team building events for companies including SNR Denton Law Firm London in association with City Academy and also Nat West London - Thriller recreation in association with Anna Fiorentini / Stage & the City London
Mark was the Resident Choreographer for Oakwood Leisure Limited for 10 years covering Indoor & Outdoor Productions as well as seasonal Pantomimes & Easter & Halloween Spectaculars.

As an Educator and Creative Director Mark has taught and developed performers for over 3 decades working with The Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School , Stage & the City and City Academy London where he choreographed and directed productions staged in venues including Sadlers Wells, The Shaw Theatre and the legendary Hackney Empire. Past students now appear on both TV and in Film and have also gained success in the music industry.
Marks extensive career has also included creating Flash Mobs for themed events & devising unique and bespoke entertainment for any occasion.
